1982 K/10 step side...
« on: February 10, 2011, 08:44:25 pm »
About to go through her from top to bottom. The interior is tan and virtually perfect, but I plan on giving it a few personal touches. Like the color, but might paint her green with some brown accents. I'm in the military, so I find that I have a particular affinity for the tactical stuff, and I like earth tones and 4x4's. Just blessed to have found one of the trucks that's gonna stay in the family.

Glad to be a be a part of the forum.

BTW - She's got a 350 SB, TH350 set up right now. A buddy and I are going through the 355 and tranny before we do the swap. Any engine mod suggestions for the optimum mixture of power and reliability? i.e. heads, cam combo, etc....  Function over form for sure, I'm gonna take her in the woods, but she's gonna be a clean looker too.  8)

Welcome, and that is one good starting point, very clean looking truck.

I'm out of town. I'll get back to you. I've had her off the road this Winter, which is about 13 months out of the year
Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's I believe, up here in the Central NY tundra.

I've got a set of Nitto Tierra Grapplers too. 33x10.5's   They're a great all-terrain alternative instead of the BFG's. I had 'em on a Tacoma for a few thousand miles before I found this jewel.

I'm in Halifax ma (02343). Got a shop with a lift and a boat load of parts for our trucks. Let me know if you need a hand

Looks like you got the clean looker part done already!
Nice truck,

Give me a long enough lever and a place to stand, and I shall move the earth or break this bolt...Whatever, just hold my beer!
