Nice truck! I think you really saved one from the grave. Looking forward to more stories as you go along!

A locking cap would probably be best for now, shotgun next.

Yup, locking caps are a must. Especially with gas here around 4.20/gal Remember to keep a spare set of those keys somewhere else.

I'm liking the red, i'd leave it that color. Maybe a nice set of wheels and what I would do with the steering wheel is replace it with one from a 88-94. I got one for my 85 a couple years back for nine bucks. It really updates the interior. Just my .02

that sucks when people seal your fuel,
when we first got our 87 western hauler when gas was over $4.50, some smart person thought that they needed all of the 60 gallons of gas out of the bed tank. that sucks. I would third locking gas cap.

ya the gas cap is being bought tomorrow when I have money in the bank hehe. wheels are long down the road. I like the 16in stock ones anyway just going to clean up and repaint them nice. tires hm don't know have to sell my 205-70-r15 (I think) tires I pulled off my kia (less than 500 miles on them! >.<). then we will see what I can do. I have a nice grant wheel sitting in my closet so that's going in bought the adapter from summit last week
. don't know if I will paint her stock read again or a Metallic dark green. with a matallic midnight blue roof fade. I might do a nice stock red again but put a sparkly candy coat over it ^_^
ya totally sucked having over 10gal taken!
and me w/o a job that's really really needed gas.
I put 2gal in to try to get here to start she turns over but will not fire o0 don't know what is wrong. will not get back to her until wensday. lucky I have mom's 2010 honda CRV for tonight (have a doc apt tomorrow) and free the rest of the week.

steering wheel is easy, just go to autozone or kragens and rent the steering wheel puller. its free to rent it too.
