hehe, yes it will be hard to not spend my whole paycheck on parts but I do have $650/month in bills lol.
yes I plan on getting some stuff from the j-yards but here there is not much pre-95 cars/trucks they were mostly crushed when salvage went to $15/100lbs. the ones that are left are picked rather clean. but I should be able to get some stuff I want

hey! don't make fun of my cb, it's the only radio I have.
I mounted it in the worse way. two sided tape then four short metal screws. lol

Thats a real clean truck! When are you getting a passenger side window crank, and what are you going to do for a horn button? And this is how I mounted my CB. I mounted it in 2 existing holes under the dash.
and I did something similar to gotsmeuh with the ash tray....

lol, I will replace the passenger side crank the same day I replace the drivers side
for now the vice grip that been used for 10 years will have to do (need to replace the whole system!). I'm ordering the horn button tonight.
nice mounting, ya the ashtray would be nice but my cb is a tad big for there lol. under like c20 has is taken by the mounting bracket for the trailer e-brake. plus you can't see it in the pic but there is all the aux power cables n such there in the ashtray lol.

Slight side track question.
How do you guys get on using a CB while driving? Over here you'd get a $150 fine and 3 points on your licence. Same as a mobile phone.

i use mine whenever my friends and i are cruising around town or hauling scrap. we have state, county, and city cops in the town where i live. the only cops that ever do anything are the state cops, because the county and city cops are too lazy. my cb also has a pa on it. so me and my buddies just usually ride around yelling obscenities at kids we know. hahah.

Europe is stricter than even Cali, but I do agree with the cell law. Most people can't text and drive or talk and drive for that matter, the hands free thing makes sense to me, just too bad the bluetooth head units are so expensive. I will never wear one of those headset things, I can't stand those, makes you look like you got assimilated into the Borg collective!
