New guy from NC

Hello all, I trickled over here from fullsizechevy.com since OOBS is not heavily discussed over there. About 2 months ago I got a heck of a deal on a 1987 V10 for 1000$. I was told it had a blown headgasket and did a run down of the troubleshooting for one and it seemed it didnt have one till I did a compression check. The 4-6cyl had blown out of the headgasket and when stripped down the head and deck was good and the motor was recently gone thru so I chocked it up to the head being torqued incorrectly so I put a new headgasket in and new headbolts and she runs great now. Just need to register it, get a new gauge cluster and replace rear wheel cyl. But for a total of 1320$ including cost of a trailer rental here is my truck.

Thank you for the welcoming, I hope this site helps me get her back to her former glory as she was taken somewhat care of till the previous owner that I bought it from got her. He bought it in 06 in California and engine was acting up and shipped it to his parents in NC where it sat for 4yrs bc he couldnt find out this headgasket problem, but on the bright side the entire ignition and cooling system is brand new lol. Downside is I have to drop a saddle tank thats full of old gas bc a fuel pump quit along with other things.
