LOL, Hi Andy, I'll be out there with you guys again this year I'm sure.
mattgood - no plans to change the current wheels, need to play with the tire sizes a little.
Anywho, took the truck to the track yesterday. Yep. Hangover fest XI at Cordova.
The wind was so terrible that the timing was being jacked with by leaves and other debris so they cut it down to 8th mile so we could get times, even that got sketchy.
Track conditions- 33 degrees out with a nasty wind, average 30-35mph constant. Track unprepped but cleaned. no waterbox.
Truck conditions - I made 1 pass with a passenger just trying to get more weight, it actually kind of helped with traction but the timing was screwed on that pass. Crappy All terrain tires on the back, My transmissions shifts when it wants because we haven't set up the kickdown for it yet. still on 7 pounds of boost, still not real tuned.
Anyway - This is my first time drag racing in anything that makes any sort of power. The last time I went down the track was in my wife's focus 6 years ago at a fun run, and it went a blistering 18.2
first pass (literally) no attempt at a burnout, just driving it off the line, let it get to third, and then mashed it. spun tires from the 330 to just before the 8th 10.38 @71
third pass - by now traction is annoying- smallish burnout, starting to build throttle against the brakes at the line, launched at around 1500ish rpms Im guessing. Jimi in the passenger seat (he weighs close to 400) - 9.84 @ 73
-they make us take a lunch break because the track workers are frozen and hungry -
fifth pass - pretty well have the traction issue narrowed down to just let the dang thing spin. truck is so huge it doesn't screw with the trajectory. decent burnout, launched at closer to 2k rpm's - spins all the way through first, bobbles most of the way through second, catches third at about the half, stops spinning and goes. ended up with a 9.33 @ 78 ....... with a 2.4 60" lol and that was my best 60" as well.

looking for a DR setup that'll fit now and watching some videos of that dually that was on pass time. I've still got a hundred horsepower on the table from being untuned on low boost. I'm getting my 12 second slip dang it.
