Got a wideband for christmas, hoping to get tires, hydroboost, and steering box by the end of Feb. Still trying to determine what I want to do with the transmission. Wish winter would get it over with.

Went out yesterday and had a best of 14.08 at 101

60' were a pretty consistent 2.5. Need to complete one of the projects I need to do so I can get my 13.99, and round up some snow tires and an extra pair of rims, to try and get the 60' under control.

New turbo is in, boost controller is controlling, wideband is sensoring.

On 13 lbs i could still break the tires loose at somewhere over 85 mph (my speedo only goes to 85)

moved it back down to 9 lbs. It made the 14 second passes on 6.5 pounds

got the intake on, very crowded at the back of the motor with the original fuel line plumbing.
Do not like.
Gonna redo the fuel system, and slap an aeromotive A340 in the tank.

Looks pretty durn good though!

Sounds like this project is getting pretty legit, would like to see more pics and maybe a dyno sheet. Also, I wouldn't trust those CAT scales for your weights. We did it with our race team once with a E46 M3 and the numbers where like 200lbs off each time. I like how your going light with it though, I'll be doing the same thing, Moving weight to the back and getting rid of weight.

we don't have an inground dyno locally that isn't run by morons. seriously.

there's a guy in western illinois that does a lot of trick diesel stuff I may hit up just to get some numbers, but it's kind of a big expense for a piece of paper.

just isn't a ton you can do in these things for weight savings, they're pretty bare bones unless you had a/c or whatever. Fiberglass body panels exist, but meh. try and pull off as much rotational mass as you can, and add forced induction. lol.

Too bad you dont live in SoCal, shops out here do promo runs every month or so to pull in more people. they are usually free or close to it.

As for weight, yea man definitely drop rotating mass and swap out parts for lighter materials.

Look forward to see the new shoot you put on it and do to it.
