Vintage air

Anyone have a vintage air system in their truck? I've looked at the kit for mine and think with my skills I have would probably need to pay someone to get it installed. Wondering what your experience with the product is (how would you rate the quality/how well it works, etc). Also if I was to install myself, how difficult would it be? I'm moving back to the desert in a few months and don't want to be without air the hottest months of the summer!

I know this is an old post, but there are a number of truck magazine articles where they are putting a VA system in. That is what I am planning as well to replace my shot to heck, '81 A/C system.
