new guy louisiana
« on: March 21, 2011, 05:15:31 pm »
Got an 85 longbed c10 I have had for a few years now but have done nothing with it. It was originally a dealer conversion truck but has been stripped of all the bolted on fiberglass. My son says its his truck and wants me to lift it even though its a 2wd. Just looking around the site for some ideas, I will be getting started on it soon.

welcome from Ohio!

I'm not going to give my opinion on the lift. It doesn't matter. The real value I see here is a father spending time with his son. That is priceless!  ;D You can't put a value on that, but you can reverse the lift someday if he wants and spend even more time together. My Dad has done a few things to my truck this winter that I would not have done, but I'm not saying a word. He's 83 and loving this project  ;)

Thanks for the welcome guys. I have been trying to talk him into lowering it a little and possibly buying this 84 4x4 thats for sale locally. We do alot of things together, I have him working on things to teach him and he catches on quick. I have another boy that is 15 months old, I am sure he will jump right into things when he is old enough.
