Hey I'm Jared from a lil town in GA. I have a 79 Chevy C10 longbed, original 250ci/3-speed(not on the tree anymore). I have a quick question, I installed a universal floor shift kit because the column shift was getting in my way(im a big guy) and when I went to reconnect the speedo cable to the tranny, it wouldn't reach and I couldn't go through the shifter bracket so any suggestions??
I'm glad to be a member here now and look forward to meeting everyone. later

Welcome from ND. Without seeing it, I'm not sure why you needed to remove the speedometer cable, but there are various lengths of cable that you can get at your local parts store that may be long enough to route it the way that you want.

Welcome from California. As grim said, not sure why that changed, but get a longer one if needed.

If it was connected before is something in the way preventing it from reconnecting. Adding a floor shift shouldn't matter.

Welcome from NW Indiana. I have had problems in the past with the brackets that comes with the shifter. Post some pictures if you can and maybe we can come up with a solution.
