New 82
« on: April 20, 2011, 08:22:14 AM »
I am in the process of buying an 82 C-10 long box 2wd.  It is a 6 cylinder with a 3 on the tree.  It only has 73,000 miles and is in pretty good shape.  It will be my son's first vehicle when he starts school next fall.  The truck it self is nothing very special, but my wife's grandfather bought it new and has been in the family since.  We will probably take off the aluminum topper, change the wheels and add a stereo.  Hopefully it should be a decent truck for him to learn in.

Can not beat the 6 for gas mileage.  And it is cool that it has been in your family, hopefully your son will appreciate that fact.  Keep us informed on the truck and mods.
