1977 K20 Emissions Equipment
« on: April 28, 2011, 02:33:22 am »
Hi, need some help trying to figure out what all emissions equipment originally came on my 1977 K20 Camper Special (8400 GVW) 4x4 with a 350ci engine and 350TH tranny.

I know that it did not come with a catalytic converter because of its high GVW, but did it come with an AIR pump? Or and EGR valve?  Or a charcoal canister? Or any other specific emissions related equipment?

Just need to know all the stock components so I can be sure to get it thru emissions testing.

Any pics of a nice factory setup 350 would be nice too.

Many Thanks!

It won't win any beauty contests and that's how I like it!!!

This is a site to the gm heritage website.    http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=18701.0
I know somewhere on this site there is a website to get your original invoice of your truck, can not remember where right now, maybe in general section.
Other than that, I would personally go to a smog station (without your truck) and ask what needs to be there,(if they can't tell you then how would they know if it is missing or not ? ) or go to your local DMV they might be able to print out the requirements for you.

My '77 K20 only came with a charcoal cannister.  No air pump or EGR, and of course no CATs.
