« on: April 28, 2011, 07:33:14 am »
Watched the devistation that cut through MS,AL,GA,TN,SC, and NC from my safe-harbour in Houston, TX. Thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the stroms.

We are all fine !!
Missed Chris by about 2 miles. My other brother was in Plesant Grove Al. The tornado missed his home by about 2 blocks. I am about 30 miles north of Birmingham, we had 3 twisters pass over us yesterday and looks like we only lost a few trees. Power is out from interstate 20/59 north. TVA power in Ala is out. Alabama power is saying 7-10 days before power will be back on for my area.

This one crossed over interstate 64 about 10 miles from where i live, however, it was about two miles from where i grew up and where my parents currently live.  We had 4 tornadoes in central VA yesterday...that is a rare thing in VA...we ain't exactly in Kansas.

Realllly glad you guys are ok. Our prayers are with everyone affected with these storms. I keep telling people here that the fact that we havent had anything but high winds, no rain, and grass fires here, for over 200 days last I heard, is still better than the tornados. You guys be careful up there.

Hopefully everyone that is on this forum made out without any damage, my heart goes out to those families that were affected though.

Does anyone know the conditions in Kentucky? I have a very good friend I have not heard from a bit longer than normal.

We've lucked out here so far.  The storms have been north and south of us, and we seemed to be in a little strip up the middle that didnt get hit.

right now they're saying 300+ are confirmed dead.

This one missed us by a couple miles, but it damaged a bunch of buildings at the air base, and some of their airplanes. Vilonia got hit hard.

Sorry about the quality, but my celphone camera doesn't get a lot of detail when it gets dark.
