CD Player question
« on: April 16, 2006, 10:44:00 pm »
I have recently hooked up a cd player in my 85 silverado and everything works good on it except it doesn't keep memory. I was told to run the wire to a power source, so I ran it to the connector on my clock since it's on all the time but it still doesn't help. I have also tryed the whole fusebox and nothing helps. Any suggestions?

Well this was my first CD player install and I was hooking up the wrong wire. I was messin with a blue one which is an amp out line and the yellow one is the one I need to hook up. I'll fix it tommorrow. Since it's used, but was a freebie I had no clue what the wires were, I had to guess and finally got em all except that one right. I'm gonna hook it up to the clock inlet on the fuse box.

Yup. The black and red wires were the only ones I was familiar with being my first time and no wire diagram.
