gas gauge

my gas gauge and speed o meter use to half ass work but all of a suddon they both stoped the gas gauge reads empty and my speedo is allways at zero i change out the line once befor for the speedo that goes from my dash to my tranny but it has stoped spinning any ideas?

Speedometer gear in the tranny probably on the speedometer. Gas gage should be unrelated--wiring, sending unit, gage itself. Can't think of any reason for them to both stop except coincidence.

ya i was thinkin the gas gauge hit somthin and shorted it out ill have to re run a new wire

There is a wiring diagram in the tech section, start tracing wires. It will be easier than you think.

ya its not too hard, it should be its own plug and harness, well, on mine with dual tanks it is.

It has to be the correct gauge wire, see what you have now and replace with the same.
