gas gauge

my gas gauge and speed o meter use to half ass work but all of a suddon they both stoped the gas gauge reads empty and my speedo is allways at zero i change out the line once befor for the speedo that goes from my dash to my tranny but it has  stoped spinning any ideas?

Speedometer gear in the tranny probably on the speedometer.  Gas gage should be unrelated--wiring, sending unit, gage itself.  Can't think of any reason for them to both stop except coincidence.

ya i was thinkin the gas gauge hit somthin and shorted it out ill have to re run a new wire

are you sure youre not actually going zero miles an hour?

There is a wiring diagram in the tech section, start tracing wires. It will be easier than you think.

i got so many wires that go no were its a pain
i have to use my tac to determan my speed

Fuel gauge doesnt have that many wires.

i found it ima have to fallow it all the way up

ya its not too hard, it should be its own plug and harness, well, on mine with dual tanks it is.

can i just run any new wire or does it have to see a special kind??

     It has to be the correct gauge wire, see what you have now and replace with the same.
