Stripping the firewall of all the sealer, and crud built up over the years was a job itself.
got the new rocker welded in and started laying some mud. Also smoothed the drip rails out.

The firewall is much more smooth and level now. Got rid of the diagnal seems on both sides of the firewall.
Just wanted to show the pictures of my floor and rear window frame to brag about how spotless they are after all these years and most importantly how rust free they are!
also note we removed the steering column, windshield and read window. Cab is almost ready for paint.

well folks, it has happened.. my cab is now blue!!!!!
so many long hours, and so much labor to get where it is. I know all can appreciate that.
The firewall had a lot of attention. Well worth it in my opinion.

What a great feeling that is to take pictures of a newly painted cab to show off.
There are a few of us here that know that feeling first hand.
Are you doing single stage paint or Base, Clear ?
I love the color and am looking forward to future updates with your progress.
Great job and keep it up !!!
