I am going to put a cd player in my truck and i bought the installation kit and it came with a yellow wire about 3 inches long for the constant 12v source that has an end that looks like it goes in the fuse box but i don't know for sure. Anyone install one that knows where it goes?

You can really hook that up anywhere you want, as long as it's hooked to a constant power source. If you want to wire it to the fuse box, that's fine.
That wire is a constant so that it will hold the memory of your clock / presets in the head unit.
