Urban cowboy tribute truck Chevy style?
« on: May 14, 2011, 08:32:50 pm »
Growing up I liked the movie Urban Cowboy, the truck what was I liked maybe a bit odd that's me.. I had a bunch of diffrent 77-79 ford f150s, i'm a Chevy guy and I got a 80 k10 here. So I'm already way off here in Urban Cowboy it's a 79 ford f150 lariat, black, tan int, roll bar. It looks like a 4wd, but it's not it lifted and you can see it's just a 2wd truck, anyone knows jacking up a 79 2wd is costly!!

Anyway I was going to keep my truck stock this site has inspired me pulling me diffrent ways to even want to lift the truck a few inches. I want to make the truck look tough!

This is what I'm going to do possible lift, keep the 2 tone paint. Locate and install a roll bar similar to the movie, also I like the rims he has in Urban Cowboy.. What rims are on the truck in one scene it looks like chrome cragar wheels another it looks diffrent rims.. Anybody know what rims are on the truck?? Where I can get a roll bar/ light bar?
Thanks
