Bought the wrong bezel?
« on: May 20, 2011, 09:17:26 pm »
I think I may have bought the wrong gauge bezel 87 R10. But is there really such thing? I thought they were all the same for certain years. The aluminum finish was coming off my stock one so I went to the junk yard and picked up a new one. But it was one that had already been pulled. I know that some had the little rectangular hole for the windshield wiper motor, but I made sure that I got the one that was appropriate for an 87 model. So it has all the correct holes.

However, once I fitted it on and screwed it down, there appears to be some kind of difference between it, and my old one. The headlight hole sits too far to the left. As does the hole for the far left vent. Are there really different bezels? The dash won't go back on with the one I have now. But the bezel is all screwed down. So how could it be in the wrong place, if the screws are all lined up? Unless its the wrong bezel..

Interesting, I thought the 84 and newer where all the same as long as it was not the 1.5 DIN style in the 1990-1991.

Like Zieg, I thought all the 84-88 dashes were the same.
