I don't mean to be critical...but your kidding, Right? You can't make the "lever" longer (the piece you made) because that changes how much the bottom pin moves in relationship to the throttle shaft in center of the linkage. What is happening is you are bottoming out the mechanism inside the transmission since the cable is pulled all the way much sooner than originally designed & you still have throttle left to go. What you need to do is raise the bracket that the cable is mounted on in the rear or get rid of the spacer. Lorne
