What's the background on it. If it was just released from Gov. service it should have an sf 97 ( gov term for certificate to obtain title). Was it privately owned after it was auctioned off from the Gov? Give us more info and I will try to help (I've owned five of these Military CUCV'S).

Gl will supply him with the SF 97 so he can obtain the title. The tough part about dealing with GL is waiting for your paperwork to clear so you can pick up the truck. This can take up to a few months. Post some pics when you can.

Harmon,

Did you ever get your CUCV registered here in Texas?  How did you go about it?  FMV?  Or just the regular plates/inspection route?

post up some pix...

I'm in the DFW area, if you ever get up this way, drop me a line.   Love the old green iron.

Hey Wallew,

My friend bought it for his Dad for Fathers day last year.  My friend was in the Air Force stationed in Nebraska and has bought many military vehicles including 5 Duece and a halfs.

When I told him the information I found out here about getting the title and registered to drive, he knew exactly what papers I meant.  His dad has since got the blazer running and fixed up pretty nice.  His dad is ex army and has alot of army vehicles/trailers as well...Army camo paint is on everything at there place.

Next time I am over there, Ill snap some pictures and post on here of it.
