Cone Washers on Steering Arm
« on: June 25, 2011, 02:40:18 pm »
What are those little tapered cone washer things called that "lock" the steering arm to the knuckle called?
I am installing a suspension lift on my truck and had to replace the steering arm and those did not come off very easily and now arent re-usable. I went to Napa here and they said they couldnt get them and didn't know where I could. Anyone know where I might find some? Thanks

They are called conical washers. You MUST use new nuts also. They are a one time deal.

New nuts, not bolts studs.

be careful removing the old studs, making sure you dont break one off in the process.
