Oil Cooler

I just got an '87 half ton 4x4 and it has an oil cooler is this factory?

What engine do you have?  factory oil coolers were optioned on later model Suburbans so I don't see why not on the pickups.

My 79 c20 has a factory oil cooler. Do you have the options sheet that belongs on the glove box? If so, that will say it. Or if you take a picture of the oil filter adapter I can tell you if it is the same as mine.

You could get oil coolers starting in 1973...
