dually 4 point mirrors
« on: August 09, 2011, 11:43:56 pm »
ok I just bought a set of nice 4 point mirros from a junkyard today for my dually and im needing to know the best way to mount it cause my truck has holes already but my bottom of the mount wont reach do they sell longer pieces for this or would i have to make new wholes the body is not that great on my truck but the mirros on it know wont stop moving from closing the doors and it gets so annoying to move them plus i like the look of the big mirrors on older duallies so if anyone can please let me know.

here are pictures of the mirrors i went a pulled them off a 78 c-10 truck at a junk yard near my house had plenty of items also i could use when i get the money for them. many might ask why im wanting these old ugly mirros its cause i like the way they look on duallies and from past experience i know they wont move like the mirrors on it know which on is somewhat busted
old mirror

new mirror

mounting holes that are to far apart

the holes are off a little due to i still got the old mirror on the doors

You have to drill new holds for those mirrors unless there was and identical set already mounted on it.
If the mirrors on it now are moving, take it off and tighten them up.

I've never seen so many styles of mirror on one type of vehicle!

I ended up drilling and bolting mine too - doesn't look the best but hey, they wont fall off!

so today got the mirrors all the way installed with help from my little brother they are great love that when my truck idles they dont bounce like the old ones did and that these have full glass unlike the other mirrors now for me to just buy some convex pieces for the corners and they will be perfect
