Question about options on a 1978 Chevy Blazer Custom Deluxe K5

Any of you Blazer aficionados know what the standard options would be on a 1978 Chevy Blazer Custom Deluxe K5

Found one that belongs to the original owner but can't get a hold of them via phone so I'm curios as to what you guys think the obvious options would be?

Mostly I'm wondering if chances are good it came with air conditioning?

Custom Deluxe is usually the bare bones model, AC is usually a rare option in them up north here.  If a southern truck it may have factory AC

Dang... I was hoping the Custom Deluxe mean more dressed up, not less... I've asked the owner to call me to discuss but so far no call-back.  This Blazer is in Florida... hot and muggy Florida so maybe it has air?

Below are some pictures, ad says,

1978 Chevy Blazer Custom Deluxe K5
Original Owner
4 wheel drive
Includes hard & brand new custom soft top
Automatic
Original owner
200 k miles
2nd engine
New transmission
Brand new tires

I went and looked at this truck again today for $3000.00,

I like it as I want a big, hotrod truck but if this one-owner 1978 Blazer turns out to be as nice as it looks then I think it's a really good deal.

I like the lifted truck, but I like the lifted look.  The blazer would be a great start to a project since it is stock, let us know what you decide.

I feel your pain with the A/C,  I do live in buffalo so I only need it less than half the year but I hate buying vehicles without A/C. It's so nice to have, however I do regularly look on ebay and down south a lot of custom deluxe trucks do have factory A/C I would say about half on ebay. Plus I only looks for manual trans so if they got the auto option maybe they went for the A/C too.  Hope it works out for you

I e-mailed the owner and pretty much told them I was interested unless it was a rust bucket.  Here's the reply I got back, remember, they're out of town till Saturday.

You will be the 1st to see it ok, I'll call you with a time on Saturday...

It does have alot of rust on bottom though.

The 1978 3/4 ton is actually pretty rust free.  The frame is clean, the bed is clean and it's not bad for 33 years old.

Guess we'll all find out on Saturday.  I'll take a few pictures and update the thread so everyone can see how rusty it is.

Good luck on the blazer maybe it wont be to rusty. My dad and granddad both had custom deluxe's and neither of them had air.

Made the decision today...

Going to go with the 3/4 ton Chevy truck with the 454 Big Block Chevy.

http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=21360.15

I already own a Blazer and while I like the idea of getting a one-owner Blazer it's more my style to go for the bad-ass Chevy Monster Truck.  Already working on a new carb for the motor and purchased a Turbo 350/NP208 to replace the 4-speed transmission.

I'll probably go look at this Blazer first thing Saturday morning just to keep my word and if it's only surface rust and not a rust bucket then I have some wiggle room on the 3/4 ton.

I'll take some good pictures and post them just so everyone can see it in all it's glory.

Excited to get the 3/4 ton!
