That really says something that, having survived three tours as a Marine (2 in Iraq, 1 in Afghanistan), he was killed on the streets of this country.  I say, since more people die on the streets of this country by far than in WAR in the mid east, is to pull up all the U.S. soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan and bring them to this country to help protect our streets and OUR standard of living, not others' who don't want us there.

And build more jails/prisons to keep these thugs locked up for more than a few months at a time.  Chances are, whoever this thug is, it wasn't his first crime.

I bet the perp is am illegal and will have the aclu defending him....

It's time America clean up it's own house and start emptying prisons into other countries, or just into the middle of the oceans so we can stop this revolving door that causes these kinds of deaths...

i agree with sgtdel if we would stop worrying so much of others state of living than our own this country would be a better place. sad these things happen in this country cause of stupid reasons.

cant watch the vid right now but even around here in de this stuff happens, this one guy bailed himself out of prison then goes out gets into a fight hits someone in the head with something and the other guy dies now we are looking for this guy that bailed himself out cause he was able to get out in the first place we now have to pay for his court/lawyer fees. Tells me something is screwed up and is usually takes more than one person dying before our great leaders change anything right now they are too busy bad mouthing one another to even care what is going on

come to find out, this thug was a suicidal person who left a two page note.  He shot the cop w/a  shotgun then the PD hunted him down and killed him.

This is a very touching story.

lol na i was raised treat others how you want to be treated, i been there about 5 years never once have i had to spray or get physical with anyone. i usually just remember their face and next time they ask for something i just look ar their face and say oh yeah remember when you ran your mouth to me yeah i dont think your getting that. i know sgt gets this two but one time before i was getting to work i stopped at a store had my uniform hanging in the car and went in, some kids started singing "i smell bacon i smell grease" i just laughed at them. then this girl comes up to me at the cash register and ask me where’s the clerk. i then said i dont know i think hes making subs. then one of the kids sinning stepped up and started saying "dont be talking to my girl" and some other crap. i was stunned i didnt know what to do. never have i seen him or his friend before and since i had a blue uniform just hanging he was ready to fight even though there was like 10 other officers in the store he still dumb enough to try to fight one

I can only hope the young boy he bought the cookies for grows up to be a stand up guy because of the kindness of one police officer.
