I'm not as knowledgable as these guys, but by the information I've read, I would just keep driving it until you find the motor you really want. Maybe spend a little money to freshen up what you already have; spend a weekend going through the motor, then, after you get the motor you really want, you can sell what you have...there's always someone looking for a small block...
