how big?

i need new tires for my 85 c20. whats the biggest tire i can put on my truck with out any mods? it has 16 inch stock rims on it. i will need a tire that will be able to go good in the snow. im not realy concerned about wear because i live in a small town and dont do a whole lot of driving.

Usually about 1-2 inches is about all your gonna get w/o any lift. If it didnt matter to ya, id just go and get a good set of mud/snow tires for about 120$ if you just need to get to work and back. If wouldnt go with a bogger or anything.

would 33's fit with out any trimming? its is a 3/4 ton so the wheel wells are prestty big.

I'd say yes to 33s and for sure to 32s.

I have an '87 with 33/12.5 inch coopers and its only a 1/2 ton and no rub what so ever. Also i have an '86 witha 6" lift does anyone know how bad my 38/12.5/15 tsl's will rub

What width rims are you running? I tried 33-12.5 coopers on my stock 85K10 and they rub on the back of the front fenders. I think they are on 10-12" rims.
