Unless someone else chimes in, I'll take a stab at your question. Allowing for the carb and a decent airfilter, it may be pushing it on a stock flat hood. But under a small cowl hood it will work. I have a buddy that has one on his truck running I believe a 3" cowl. To give you an idea of space needed, I have a 671 with a 1" injector plate, a 3" spacer, and an Enderle bugcatcher on top of it. From the bottom of the manifold to the top of the 671 blower is 11 3/16". The plate, spacer, and bugcatcher measures out to 8" which makes the combined height of 19 3/16". That leaves 4 1/2" poking thru the hood. The 144 measures 8 5/16" from bottom of manifold to top of blower. All you need is your carb and filter height to give you an idea of how yours will fit. Hopes this makes sense
