Hello from R.I.
« on: October 04, 2011, 07:01:25 pm »
Hi!. I just bought my 87 about a month ago for a reasonable price. Its a project in the works. Vin# says its a 305 cu. in. but I have yet to check the block to verify. It has the turbo 400 trans, power windows, locks, cruise, tilt, a/c and sliding rear window. It has a 6 inch Superlift with 35 inch BFG All Terrains. It is in need of minor things here and there and has a few symptoms that I have read on here already. Mostly the sluggish/ almost stall on acceleration. I have a lund visor, which I am not to fond of but seeing that is has been bolted in to the roof, it will stay. Also have a lund rear roll pan that I will be replacing with a chrome bumper. I already replaced the billet grille with a freebie given to me. I dont think it belongs on a 87, but it came out of an original GM box and it was never installed. These pictures arent the greatest, but you get an idea of what it looks like. Looking forward to all the input, help and ideas for the truck.

Just a quick thanks to all who replied with kind words. I will keep everyone up to date as the truck progresses along. I am sure I will be asking alot of questions about this year truck, since its my first. Looking foward to all the input from the knowledgable people here. I was a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep Tech for 12 years and a VW Tech for 4. Moved on to a much better career now. I tried to send more pictures of the vehicle but the images are too large. I have included pics of my 1968 Camaro as someone asked me to see them.....
