Why do we have to share our air with idiots?

Put a bunch of parts on craigslist. Add stated 87 Chevy truck parts, posible 3:42 gears, not sure, will check if interested, blah blah blah. Had one guy, a caorpenter call, and talk to me twice looking for a 7004 R4 for a 4x4. He shows up, come to find out he has a 96 2500. I explained that his truck has a 4L60, he said yeah its a 4 speed automatic. Explained further that its not the same as a 700R4. He says well my helper told me I need a 700R4. I told him his helper should stick to carpentry!
Then I get some random text. Hey you still got that rearend? 
(Reply) UM who is this, and what rearend?
(Answer) This is Bill 
(Reply) OOKAAYYY What rearend are you talking about?
(Answer) You know the Chevy rearend.
(Reply) I have about 25 Chevy rearends!
(Answer) The 3:42 one
(Reply) Not 100% its 3:42, that is the most common gear ratio, I will check if you are really interested.

 Then I get to thinking, this guys is an idiot.

(Answer) Its for my 94 2 wheel drive.
(Reply) Um (1) if its 2 wheel drive would matter much if it wasn't the same ratio. (2) its not going to fit!
(Answer) Yeah it will I eyeballed it, and my buddy says he thinks its looks about the same size. (Reply) Trust me it won't unless you have torches, and a welder!

That is why I don't put my phone # on the ad.  I weed out the idiots via email and if I know they know what they need then the phone is supplied but 99% of the time they don't come out when they say they will.  I also go as far as making the 2 following statements... "If you are reading this post I still have the ...  I remove my posts when they sell."  I hit the delete button on most of the emails sent.

    Some times you just run across people that have no, (what I call street/common since ), they are book smart and can build a rocket or brain surgery.  And then you run across these people and the question "why do we have to share our air with idiots ? "  I have the centuries old answer, but I like this site and don't want to get banned

on the flip side of this I tried dealing with a seller trying to get a adapter for a 700 to 208 found one on cl asked the guy if he would separate the adapter from the tcase was told no he needed it to have one to sell the tcase

replied back that I would trade him one for a 400 to 208 adapter and a little cash  he turned around and still did not want to do it unless I wanted to pay half the asking price for the tcase and still give him my adapter

Yeah have had trouble with CL before, but I have also sold alot of stuff on there to people that have a brain!

i saw a really bad idiot today. me and my firned were waiting in line for the aluminum in our local scrap yard when we were about able to enter the area we see the line for the scrap metal like steel and stuff besides the valuable things. well just as we get to the front of out line we see this red dodge durango pull up with a trail. On this trail is a near perfect square body with the round headlight style getting hauled in with all the trim chrome even a good clear coat getting hauled into be crushed. i hated seeing them haul it in but i didnt have what they would have gotten for scrap. sad to think people are that desperate to get money when if they sold the body along would have got them easily 4x the money they got from the scrap yard
