Howdy from Texas
« on: October 19, 2011, 03:02:23 pm »
Hey guys, checking in from Pflugerville, TX (suburb of Austin, pretty much).

Ever since I was a kid, I've been into these trucks. My grandpa had a 1978 Scottsdale that he sold to my dad when I was about 4-5 years old, and I grew up in that truck. My dad gave it to my brother when he moved from Utah to South Dakota, where my brother traded it in on a 98' Ford F150. Needless to say, I was crushed, since I loved that truck (and wasn't particularly fond of Fords...). It's pretty much been my dream to own and restore a Square since I was little, and last year I was finally able to purchase a 95% factory original 87' R10 LWB. The only non-factory bits were an aftermarket seat, bed rails, and a tool box, but it was otherwise unmolested.

I'm currently tearing it down to restore it, and look forward to sharing my progress with everyone!

Welcome from Va. Dad had a 78 Custom Deluxe, that was one tough truck, lot of fond memories.
Miss that old Chevy.
