If there is a clear coat on the truck, a good scuffing with a compound and another shot of clear could save the paint. But if the paint is oxidized, then your out of luck. Have you tried a deep cutting wax with a high speed buffer? I asked the shop owner what he would charge for refreshing some paint and a clear coat and he said it would run several hundred to a grand with labor, cost of materials, etc. which for that cost you could probably get a full maaco paint job.

Exactly! Those Two panels (likely the cab corner also) have been repaired & the clear has died...likely from too thin of film build or maybe a low quality product. The Right fender in the same area (in the rounded bodyline & on the top edge) isn't turning White & chalky? Lorne

No the cab corner is fine ,on the door it is by the handle and mirror.On the front panel it has yet to show that bad.By keeping it waxed it looks very good.The part of the truck that has been repainted is the drivers side after an accident.
