Swapping a tranny (700r4) and running new brake lines

Almost finished with new tranny install, ive got a few questions about running new brake lines, i bought a complete kit with various sizes and lengths, im wondering if its possible to butt lines together that are broken? or will i just hacve to run new ones?

     Depending on who you talk to (ASE certified) are going to tell you it is illegal to splice brake lines. ( for obvious safety reasons), they do make a splice kit.
     My opinion would be to replace the brake lines, why mess with your safety and your life.

I would spend the money and get full replacement if you can. If one spot is bad not now it wont be to long before another spot goes bad. I would only use a splice just to get me by until I could get the new lines in

It's not illegal to splice with proper fittings,tubing, and double flares.

It is illegal to use brass or copper tubing, single flare fittings, and compression fittings.

I agree with all of this.  Get some of the poly coated brake line.  I have gotten it from O'Reilly I'm sure others have it.  It bends easy without kinking.  It makes the job way easier.
