That looks great, I love the idea of the trailer for the bed, I even have one of those hand carts for moving trailers, like the one in the pic.  Maybe one day I should use my old frame for one of those.

Picked up my passenger door and tailgate today... Looks great!!!!  The fender needs a square nut welded on the inside where it twisted out when I was removing it from the parts truck.  Making plans to drop off the truck for the rocker panel work, mid-April...  Going to powdercoat the tailgate hardware a mid-gloss black.

While I am limited what I can do... and my buddy came up to the hospital and really emotionally got to me about wanting to finish what was started no matter what...  Part of my therapy was to drive my truck over to his place for continued work on it.  New rockers for starters, straighten out any problems with the hood, left fender, left door and cab roof.  I am truly blessed...  Will try to update with pictures as I can...

Stopped by to view the progress done thus far after my rehab session this morning.  Drivers side cut out, passenger side in.  Fender was junk anyway so I told him to cut it to save time since I have a replacement already in primer to go on it.

Little more progress to report... I stopped by this morning after I talked with my buddy yesterday.  Drivers rocker panel in.  I do not need cab corners just a little metal patch with the metal harvested from the Suburban hood I had left over.  He also welded up the holes where the camper mirror was bolted on.  Rather than start on the 86C10 I'd better stay on track with this one and see it through... at least replace all the good body parts after I paint them all up.

It's coming along nicely...

No more camper mirrors, though?  I love the camper mirrors on these trucks.

I like the looks of the camper mirrors but don't like the view out of the passenger side one when folded in.

Perfect combination of cool weather and time.... my kinda of rehab...  Well off with the bumper, headlight doors, grill and filler panel.  Removed the junk rf fender and rusted out inner.  Have to do some filler work under where the inner bolts up to the core support as much of it rusted away.  Much to my surprise, no broken bolts...yet.  LF fender and drivers door just about done.

Got a good day in yesterday... Unbolted the bed, 7 out of the 8 bolts came out without snapping them off.  Tears of sadness and joy both when I really got to looking the 28 year old original stainless steel exhaust system.  The mufflers are showing signs of leaking...  Now I am just going to have to put those Flowmasters on my buddy gave me off his Pro-Street...darn ;) I've been wanting to hear that big block ever since I got it 8+ years ago.  Gonna bolt the fender back on temporarily just to hold the battery in so I can bring it back for him to finish up

Small update... Got my truck back from my body man a week ago.  Only things needed to go over is the hood and roof, he says no dents or rust so block sand is about all is needed.  I set the bed and tucked her away for the winter just in time for the forecasted snow to arrive.  Sorry no pics but it felt good to have it in one piece for the most part.
