New From TN
« on: October 29, 2011, 09:02:04 am »
Hello forum.  my name is FROG.  i just traded for a 1978 chevy c-10 (bonanza) 2wd short bed.   when this platform fell in to my lap, i thought that i would venture down a road not yet travelled by me.  the truck already had a rear axle flip and the P.O. heated the front coils.  so my dropped integra on rubber band tires has a better ride than this.  the body is in really good conditon, only bad spot is behind that passanger rear tire.  interior is ok.  the P.O went spray paint crazy so i will have to replace alot of things.  the motor is a 350 with edelbrock preformer intake, edelbrock 690 cfm carb and has reciepts for a total rebuild.

Future plans/ideas:  (opinions welcome)
tripple  black paint with lots of clear
shaved doors
  shaved tailgate
  taillight filler panels
Rear roll pan with custom taillights (not sure which tails i want)
all new cab/glass seals/gaskets
new front window
new mirrors (black powder coat)
all chrome trim, grills black powder coated
front bumper will be black powder coated (not sure of front bumper style options)
interior is all gonna be stock lookin from   black
Rims are undecided yet. for now, i am looking for some rallys to get rid of the crap that is on it

so the basic idea is black on black on black on black and when you pop the hood, all chromed out engine

Welcome from California, nice start of a project, and sounds like you have your plans for your truck.  Oh yea, these trucks will ride harsher than your car.
