Seems like a good gun, but for a .22, seems kind of pricey around mid $400's.  If i would get one, the longer th ebarrel the better, at least 6.5" barrel.

Just bought a stainless 5-1/2" barrell MK III for $369 (brand new, of course).  2 magazines and a scope rail included.  Hope to try it out this weekend.

awesome.  good price for that gun too.  Now go get a couple thousand rounds of .22lr and have a blast (ooops, there i go with those puns again). Those guns remind me of the old German Lugers

Good deal. Semi-auto rimfires can be picky on what kind of ammo you feed them. If you can, get single boxes of several kinds to try out and see what cycles the best.

hey sgt dont know if you have another form your on or not but found this one a couple weeks ago. its http://www.mdshooters.com/ now granted its based in Maryland but your close enough and most the guys are liberal but some clearly need some law advise lol theres other leos' on there also

cool, i'll check it out, though you know how I get w/ political issues (a little carried away sometimes).  I may have to shed some light on why it's a bad thing for libs to take guns away from the good guys.

I was raised on a farm and taught how to use shot-guns and the single 4-10. Even 30 years back the firearm owner had to be licenced but associates under supervision were ok.

Probably 20 years since I've fired anything. I recall enjoying the responsabillity even though we only shot clay pigeons!

C'mon over to the correct side of the Atlantic, Andy.  I am stocking up now for all the ammo I'll be shooting next Spring and Summer on my camping trips in the mountains.  I need to work on my weak hand shooting from the 25+ yard line---that's the biggest hurdle from me getting perfect scores now.  If I can practice more on making my ambidextrous shooting better, I could conquer nearly any course of fire.
Seriously, anyone interested, fire a message my way (pardon the pun, yet again).  Nothing like spending a few days camping near one of the national forest shooting ranges and spending that time honing shooting skills.
I am glad the gun laws are not as strict here as they are in Great Britain.  In fact, in some way, the laws here are getting better.  Here's an example--passed in '09, H.R. 218, allowing active and retired Law Enforcement officers to conceal carry in any state in the Nation, no matter the state's laws (except on private property depending on the owner or schools).  This is a giant step in a good direction allowing qualified, trained, honest people to not have to worry about being harrassed when carrying.  http://www.njspba.com/Documents/FAQ.Right2Carry.pdf 

Even a democrat, as surprising as that is, is seeing the light:  "Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) has introduced legislation for that would allow state and local officers to carry their firearms on an aircraft. NAPO is lobbying in favor of this legislation."  This should be a no-brainer if you have trained, law-abiding citizens able to protect themselves and others.

As far as I'm aware over here, any situation that requires firearm back up has to wait for the ARV-armed response vehicle to arrive. I think all the officers are trained and authorised to use pepper spray.

More "Tazor" type guns are being introduced but again I think the ARV carries them.

Not sure I could bear to sell the ole girl after all the effort. If only there was a road long enough - what a road trip that'd be!

No ifs, ands, or buts about it, a .45ACP 5" 1911 requires hearing protection.

Of course any responsible shooter will consider hearing protection at the range, but man, that Colt .45 is in a league of it's own.

yep, that .45 ACP is fer real.  That thing will stop someone in their tracks. The county next to mine uses Sig Sauers .45 ACP p220's and those make a lot of noise. I love my .40 S&W shootin' Glock 23, but I definately heard those sigs two weeks ago at the week long range I went to for range instructor school. 
BTW, I wear eye and ear protection EVERY time I shoot or go to the range.  I've heard of too many people getting a loss of hearing and many times the case was not wearing protection.
Ever take a .38 S&W revolver and put three .38 specials and three .357's in it?    That's cool. Big difference.
