Couple of old Chevy Trucks I owned.

Picture 1 Description: This is a 1981 Chevy C-30 Tow Truck That we had built in 1986. We bought the truck as a used cab and chassis. We had the truck sent to Kansas City, MO to have the tow truck builder install the bed. We used this truck in our auto repair and towing service from 1986 to 1999. Was a very good truck, even after all the use we got out of it.

This photo was taken back in 1995 when I towed my 1991 5.7L TPI GTA through a Fourth of July parade.

Picture 2 Description: This is a photo of my 1977 Chevy C-10 Big10 Factory 454 pickup that I had just bought from a customer back around 1986. It had a bad timing chain when I bought it and didn't run.

This was my second vehicle. My first truck was a 1974 Chevy Cheyenne Super LWB, Reddish Orange color.

This truck was ordered with the 454, 400 turbo, 4.11 posi. It had a/c, p/s, am radio, and that was about it! I decided to pull the engine and rebuild it. Had the heads reworked, and installed a better torque cam.

It was a blast to drive. (except for the 6-8 mpg!) Drove it through high school. When I graduated,  I was hauling a car to the Chevy dealer one day, and they had a new 1988 Chevy truck parked out front that they had customized. I had to have it! Put a for sale sign on my truck and sold it before the weekend. Loved the new truck, but missed the old one.

When I found the 1978 that I have now, I HAD to have it!

Wish I had taken some more picture of my rides back then! Just wasn't that important back then. :(

Picture 3 Description: This is a 1987 Chevy LWB I wish I had kept.

Had the 5.7L EFI, Auto OD, Loaded, Red with Red Interior.

Bought it several years ago and drove it everywhere!

Which red one?

The Tow Truck went to Venus, Texas area and the Pickup went to Georgia or Tennessee I think.

Sold the 87 on ebay in 2006. Had a guy fly to DFW airport to pick it up and drive it home.

it may be it. before i got my 84 i saw what may be this one in iowa park for sale. it was a clean truck but they wanted like 4 grand for it.
