SPLINE count...?

The answer may make me feel a little dumb but, i will be that much smarter when i learn.
Is the spline count on inside the hub the same as in side the diff? If so i need to upgrade..bad! corporate 10 bolt 8.5 front axle '87 lwb silverado 350tbi.

     I am pretty sure the answer is yes, someone will chime in and confirm.

Does anyone out there know that spline count used in the '87 corporate 10 bolt 8.5 front axle? please help   :o

'86 and older are 28 spline. '90 and newer are 30 spline.

For fututr reference and all those who google...GUILTY..... the outer spline count (inside the hub/knuckle/spindle) that is on the '87 corporate 10 bolt 8.5" ring is 19 spline count....Im going to pop the cover on it to ck for wear and debrise plus synthetic gear oil upgrade... anyone out there have a good deal on  LOCKER for this Diff? I really need one. I want it for the rear diff. first because theres greater advantage there if i have to upgrade one at a time..and thanks to todays military pay (which I am greatful for) I have to wait.
