C-10 has been arrived from California
« on: January 01, 2012, 04:17:49 am »
Hi,

on Friday my C-10 has been arrived here, what a beautiful truck, all original - paint, interior and engine, absolutly no rust, drives great. so happy with it.
The previous owner in US was first and only owner, the truck is well mentained, many new parts, with gear vendor ( very nice ), alarm, and many other parts.

I HOPE YOU COULD HELP IN FUTURE WITH SOME QUESTIONS.

Happy new year and best wishes

Hans

Just so you know though thats a C20.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Great looking truck!!

Now you say it "just arrived here". Did you buy it off the internet or something? Good price?
What are your plans with it?

Yep, with the 8 bolt rims, it's not a C-10

Edit to add: I just read your other post about living in Germany. That had to be pretty expensive to ship it I assume?
Glad you got your truck. She's a beauty!!

As stated, does it have the original build sheet in the glove box ?  That will give you the build spec's, or you can get the vin# and look up all the info in the tech. section on this web site.  Very clean truck, you have a great find there, enjoy driving it.
One other question for you, How much do you pay for gas over there ?

gas = 2,08 $ one Liter (0,26 gallone ) !

it is an expensive hobby to drive a truck here, but still git my BMW for daily drive.

anyway, love this truck and looking for it for 2 years. here in germany you have to pay about 20.000 $ for such a truck, many are sold for 5-7 tsd, but all rusty and done.

Hallo aus Seattle Hans!  Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum neuen Pickup!  Wo im Herford wohnen Sie?  Ich komme manchmal Lippstadt für die Arbeit!!

Okay...my head hurts now! :D  With the fuel being nearly $8/gallon there, I'm sure you will enjoy every minute of driving your Chevy.  I was talking to a colleague today in Germany and we just determined that my crew cab gets just under 20L/100km!!!

I will probably be making some trips back to Lippstadt this year, so it would be cool to see your truck in person perhaps.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen,

Erik

Thanks for all replies,

after getting a professional cleaning and waxing, I think she looks better now. It is really amazing, we checked all the paint, it is the first, without any rust, even the body from under looks fantastic.

@ Erik -will send PM.

have a nice day

best from old europe.

It does look shiny now, let's hope you can keep it rust free.
