That Autozone part does not look correct so I didn't want to special order it. I guess I could and return it if it didn't work, since they DO specify it for my truck.
EDIT: I suspect it is made by Echlin. It looks exactly like the Echlin part that NAPA used to stock. It was discontinued.
The original one I have has a long post which extends into the transfer case. That one above has a round ball bearing style end. It's possible the ball bearing contacts the spring inside and would work. The connector isn't the same either.
I contacted 4x4 Tech Inc today. They have the correct switch in stock for my truck, which I verified by their picture. $170!

They also have a retrofit switch. It is the same except the pigtail electrical connecter. About $140 with the new pigtail.
I sent an email today to BWD, asking if they would start making #S746 again.
