My turn to 'fess up...  We were fishing on Lake Erie. We'd drift over the reef, then motor back up to make another pass. After a few passes, the big motor wouldn't start. We were catching walleye so we just used the 10hp kicker motor to get back on the drift. When it came time to leave, I cranked and cranked on the 90hp to no avail. It was a long trip back (about 4 miles) in 3-4 foot waves with the kicker motor. Got it home and sure enough, the kill switch was pulled! I was known as "kill switch" for several weeks after that one

lol my uncle kind of did the same thing. we were on his boat just left the port then the engine starts running like crap and it dies. first thing i thought of it sounded like a fuel problem and sure enough after watching him look over everything he checks his tanks and he forgot to vent them
