73 C20 body lift. Need help

Hi,
I have a 73 C20 longbed that I was thinking of doing a 3" body lift on. I've built engines and cars before but never done a lift at all. Is it hard to do? Will I have to lengthen the steering shaft or brake lines or anything else? It is a 350 engine and TH350 tranny with stock on the column shifter. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Everything between the body and frame will have to be lengthened.  Steering column, shift rod, ground wires....

Normally the coiled brake lines by the master cylinder will be able to separate enough to accommodate a 3"" body lift.
Plus you'll have to extend gas tank filler hoses and modify the radiator shroud if you have one.

There are multiple little things you run into when doing a body lift, but if you're mechanical it should be nothing very difficult for you.
I'd go for it !!

How about a picture of what you have now.  If you are really low in front compared to stock height, replace the front springs with your application with a 454.  You would be surprised the difference.  My $.02
