Will '01 Chevy Wheels fit my '87?
« on: January 29, 2012, 05:11:15 pm »
Will wheels off a 2001 Chevy Truck work on the 87 1/2 Ton Chevy 4x4?  They are the same bolt pattern but I'm unsure whether the back spacing is different.

Thanks

You did not give the model of the 2001, on the back side of the rim (both sets of rims) should be the backspacing stamped into the rim.  You will probably have to clean it up in order to see it.
Here is a great article on measuring bolt patterns, back spacing, and offset.       https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html

It'll fit but most likely, the backspacing will be incorrect and look funny.

granted they are 3/4 but i think the back spacing should be the same
