fuel pump in 85 chevy tank

 I AM THINKING ABOUT BUYING THE ATOMIC EFI FROM MSD.  I WOULD LIKE TO PUT FUEL PUMPS IN TO MY TANKS. THIS YEAR TRUCK DID NOT COME WITH PUMPS IN TANK . COULD A LATER YEARS FUEL PUMP SYSTEMS BE USED. SENDING UNIT FILTER ECT.   THANKS HOSSCATT

     Why do you need fuel pumps in the tanks ?  Why not put an inline fuel pump with pressure regulator, that way you don't have to drop the tanks to put in on or when it needs srvd.

Yes you can use 1987 Sending units in the pre-87 tanks, just don't run it really low on gas.
