if u look when they start talking about dave being gone the litle thing in the bottom says based on trucks from 1981-2011 yet what looks to be a early 70s sqaure body lol just wondering if anyone else noticed it

You'd have to find something early enough it had the old points type ignition to find a vehicle that would survive the EMP blast.   HEI would be destroyed.

My 78 wouldn't run unless I had access to a had-been-shielded-during-the-blast-HEI-module.

     I just watched it again and paused on the part with the step side, it is a 73 - 80, you can see part of the vertical marker behind the guys head.

     I think that commercial was very tasteful in fact.  Ford is just upset they didn't come up with the idea first so they could spend 7 million on a 1 minute commercial.
