Hello everyone,
I thought I would join to learn and share.  I was out looking at a parts car for a different restoration and this Silverado just followed me home like a lost dog.  In reality I have been wanting one again for some time.  The last one of these body style  I had was more than 15 years ago.  I have much on my plate but this one struck me as needing some attention.

My near term plans are to get it up to snuff mechanically and then address the cosmetics after I get one of my other projects completed.

But.. I like knowing the details of what I have.  So please let me know what I have and what it is not.

I have only spent about an hour with this truck and I have not even brought it home yet.  I will get better pictures when I get the time.

Here is all I know (or at least I think)

1976 K10 Silverado
400 CI engine
130,000 miles
"was running when I parked it"   Plates are from '96
Looks like it is all there and original except missing alternator
CB radio and big mud flaps
Deluxe Paint?
Dual Tanks

I would like to know what is standard vs optional on this unit.
Also anything I should be aware of for this year/model?

I will ask lots of questions.

Welcome to the site from NH.
Looks like you got a lot to work with there. If you look in your glove box the spid might be there still. That will tell you what options it came with. Also I have seen build sheets on the bottom of the seat before. It looks like it was optioned pretty good just from your pictures. Cab moulding, dual tanks, a/c, tilt, carpet, 400 sbc, wood grain trim, etc.
Good luck with it and keep us posted on what else you find out.

I'm from usually cold/snowy Minnesota but we are having a wimpy winter this year.

I should probably put this in a different section but is there other year grills that are common with my truck?

I never see a '76 listed in any of the catalogs.

     73-74 grills have the engine size in the lower drivers side, 75-80 I believe is all the same if I remember right.
