I guess I'm really puzzled by the price. For a truck like that. U find a couple diff ones on craigslist everyday for that price they are in driveable condition and look good

He might have inherited it or bought it cheap.  Now that he has done a lot of work to make it a short bed, he thinks his labor is worth money.  He forgets that you never get your labor back out of any build, only a fraction of labor can you really recover.

One of those things where if you already have the long bed I guess. The long beds also don't sell for much, not really in demand.

the long beds make nice tow vehicles. Yes the short bed can be a pretty vehicle, but argh. Why mess up a truck like that?

One owner, garage kept?  Cut down to make a short bed?  Seriously?

It reminds me about a '72 C-10 that one of my friends was interested in buying. This was sometime around 1997. The truck was one owner, factory paint, a few dings, but all original.  The guy had sold the truck shortly before we got there.  The guy sold the truck to someone who worked for a paint and body shop... We saw the truck shortly thereafter, the first thing the new owner did was pull the original moldings off and then put bondo on the holes and dings.  So here is an all original '72 with factory orange/white paint, now minus the trim and lots of gray primer spots all over... It stayed that way for years...  It was such a shame.

The problem I see here is for the price this should be a runniing and drivable truck. Agreed? I'm thinkin there's somethin wrong for this truck not to have been finished.

I guess I'm just an odd ball I would rather have a long bed over a short bed anyday.

I don't understand why people cut up a long bed to make a short bed. Your going to have some big steps in the panel to.fill with bondo. The body line doesn't run straight from the front to back.

When I was searching for a truck I found the swb vs the lwb trucks to be at least double the price if not triple for an otherwise equal truck. The ad say that all of the parts are there and many of them are new. Guess it depends on what is there. Some haggling and the price might actually be fair (if it was done right and some good parts are actually there). I originially searched for a 67-72 prices were very high on the swb versions.
