Holy Crap! They still rock! The show started at 7:30 and we just got home at 1:00am.
Details and some pics tomorrow.

Here is one off my phone.

Great to hear they still got it. Nothing better than good ole' rock and roll.

I'm glad you two had some fun.

Tell me, were there quite a few people "our age" there?  I would have guessed so.

Oh the memories of local concerts.... back in the day........    :)

I got to tell you, we had a blast!

What a great way to spend a cold, windy, winter afternoon and eveningPerfect for being in her little cavalier cranking some tunes on our way (much better than being out in the weather working!).
This picture was when we were leaving. Looks like it could have been 30 years ago with the excitement.

We spent an hour in the car talking about old bands and concerts that I’ve been to. It was awesome knowing that she was genuinely interested in our conversations.
When we got there we found a perfect place to eat. Had a great meal and more fun talking about the old days that she was about to be time warped back into with me.

As far as Molly Hatchet goes…They can still out-do most bands. They are loud, spot on with the music, have the same passion for rocking that they always did, and you could tell that they were still having fun doing it. They played all the best of their stuff, made a big deal out of our troops and also veterans. Did a tribute to them with Fall of the Peacemakers. They did also did a tribute to Ronnie James Dio whom they knew well and knew he was a NH native and had a lot of fans here. The bassist played with Synyrd so like any real southern rock band a tribute to Skynyrd was done perfectly. The encore was Freebird followed by Flirtin with Disaster!

This was the guitar solo on Freebird

When it comes to what Amber thought of it…She has been to concerts before so she kind of knew what to expect. I could tell that she was blown away after seeing a real band.

Here is a quote I stole from her fb page:
"The concert last night was everything I expected and more! So much fun :) Molly Hatchet still knows how to rock your *** off. AND I finally got to hear a live tribute of Freebird, while i proudly held up my lighter with my dad! Definitely enjoyed every minute of the concert :)"

Plenty of people our age. Amber was a minority for sure.
Some of the people our age thought it was back in the day still. A lot looked that they partied plenty before they got there and some more when they got there. The place was small enough to have a bar. You could buy drinks and take them to your seat or whatever. I think the rule was if you could make it to the bar and were still standing up when you ordered...you were served. haha When we went to get something to drink and I mentioned coke, I hadn't planned on drinking there, Amber looked shocked  :o and said "I'm driving...I can't believe you aren't getting a beer during a Molly Hatchet concert...I'll buy you one!". I thought it over for a quick second then said, "Yeah, I think your right...HEY make that coke a draft buddy!". She was right too. I had a couple of drafts and it just seemed right. Like back in the day. haha

Awesome, glad you had a fun. I need to get up there and check out the Flying Monkey. Where did you eat?
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

That's sounds exactly like every time I've been to a Willie Nelson concert.

Sounds like y'all had a great time.
