Transmission/transfer case service panel

I am in the process of dropping my np208 to replace it with a 205. I don't know if all trucks have this service panel, but on the donor truck you can remove the floor board and service your transmission and transfer case from the top inside the cab. This feature is way to cool not to put in my truck, so my question is has anybody cut the floor outta their truck for this service panel? Is it as easy as cutting it out and bolting the panel down, or would I have to cut out more of the floor pan and weld it in, so that I have the right hump to take the panel?

It is something done frequently especially when replacing a cab off a 2 wheel drive truck on to a 4x4.  Most use sealant and self tapping screws.  I don't know when GM quit the removable hump but my 83 had it and my 85 does not.

     Most 4wd had the removable hump like Zieg said, some did not.  There are several threads on here where members have done it, especially also like Zieg said in changing cabs.  Not hard to do, most of the time you "cut less" out of your floor so you have a lip to mount too.
