Hello from Arizona
« on: April 06, 2012, 05:10:11 pm »
Hi Everyone !

First of all, Thank You to the sites Owners, Administrators, Moderators and especially the Members
for allowing me to join the forum  8)

I hope that I'll have the opportunity to contribute some of my knowledge and experience with
this era of Chevy Trucks.

About a month ago I started searching for a summer project and ended up buying a '82 C-10 shorty
from the widow of the original owner.

It was born at the Flint plant, equipped with LE3, N41, GQ1, MM3, AO1, ZY1 in 59 Almond That's it !
The PO had the local dealer install an ARA A/C system & Cruise Control and both still function properly even though it's
been quit some time since this truck had seen the light of day, and just turned 100k on the way to it's new home !

I was also very fortunate to receive loads of history as well as the protect o plate.

I've not had much time to play with it except for the removal of what I thought was a nasty
looking topper and get a few items ordered.

I'll try my best to get some pictures posted up this weekend.

Happy Easter Everyone & Have a Great Weekend  ;)

It's a work in progress  ;D

I was able to get a few things done, Seat cover, the OEM Vinyl is in excellent shape but a bit warm
for the desert. waiting on a RF turn signal lens. cleaned the wheels, Dog dishes are in excellent
condition. Tire have great tread but are dry rotted so I'll be looking at some new shoes.

Welcome from Alaska.  That looks like it just came off the showroom floor!!  Nice find.  6 cylinder and three-on-the-tree.  Is it a 250 or 292?
